Fair Oaks 8, Yuba 7 (League: 15-4, Overall: 23-5) - July 4 @ Fairfield - In its closest game of the tournament, Fair Oaks managed to squeeze by Yuba 8-7 on the Fourth of July.
    After defeating Chico 6-2 earlier in the day, the Oaks had to be a little tired in their second game of the day, but still managed to put together a winning effort despite a strong comeback try by Yuba.
    Fair Oaks went up 1-0 in the first, but Yuba came back to take the lead with single runs in both the second and third innings. The Oaks responded. however by scoring two runs in the bottom of the third and four in the fourth to take a lead they would never give up, 7-2.
    Yuba did come back to close the gap to 7-6 with a four-run inning of their own in the fifth and then tied the game in the top of the sixth with a single run.
    The Oaks again came back, however, scoring in the bottom of the sixth for the one run victory.
    The game did not continue into the seventh because of the tournament's two-hour time limit.
    Jason Wilkerson led the Oaks at the plate with a three-for-four performance, including a double, home run and three RBI.
