Fair Oaks 9, Solano
Concrete 2 (League: 17-4, Overall: 33-8) - July 24 @
Eureka, CA - For the third time in four meetings over the past two years,
Fair Oaks was victorious over Solano Concrete. This time it was a 9-2 win in the Area
1 Playoffs in Eureka.
The game was tied at 2-2 in the third inning, but three Fair
Oaks runs in the fourth put the Oaks up 5-2 for a lead they would never give up.
Post 383 scored once in the eighth and three more in the
ninth for the 9-2 win to keep them in the winner's bracket of the tourney.
Adam Moshofsky pitched another great game for Fair
Oaks, striking out nine batters and at one time retiring 15 consecutive Solano hitters.

Auburn 7, Fair Oaks

CA - Auburn remained the only undefeated team in the Area 1 Playoffs
with a 7-2 victory over Fair Oaks on Friday.
All seven runs were scored in the first three innings, with
Auburn jumping out to a 3-0 lead in the first, and scoring four more runs in the
third.
Fair Oaks' only scoring in the game came with Post 383
scoring single runs in the sixth and eighth innings.

Charles Eggen 6, Fair
Oaks 5 (League: 17-4, Overall: 33-10) - July 26 @ Eureka,
CA - Fair Oaks' 1997 season ended with a 6-5 loss to Charles Eggen in
the Area 1 Playoffs in Eureka.
Fair Oaks led 2-1 after three innings, but a pair of runs by
Charles Eggen in the fourth and a single run in the fifth put Eggen ahead for
good.
The Oaks tied the game in the seventh with a pair of runs,
but Eggen answered back in the bottom of the inning with two runs of their own to
take a 6-4 lead. Fair Oaks managed only one run in the eighth and Eggen held on for
the 6-5 win to eliminate Fair Oaks from the tournament.
