Rio Loma 4, Fair Oaks 2 (League: 1-2, Overall: 1-2) - May 29 @ El Camino High - The Oaks dropped to 1-2 on the season after losing a 4-2 decision to Rio Loma at El Camino High School.
    Missing some of its heavy hitters, Fair Oaks couldn't get going until the late-innings, despite holding Rio Loma close through the first half of the game.
    Rio Loma scored once in the second off Oaks' starter Brian Janowiak and three times in the fourth to take a 4-0 lead.
    The Oaks didn't do much until the top of the fourth when they got two hits, including a Tyler Robertson double, and a walk - but the Oaks failed to score.
    Finally in the sixth inning, Fair Oaks got on the board as Robertson led off with another double and scored with one out on a double by second baseman Larry Lomascola. He in turn scored after two were out on a hit to left by catcher Joe Gaggero.
    The Oaks made some rumblings in the final inning as center fielder Steve Snider was hit by a pitch to lead off and then moved to third after two were out on another Robertson double.
    With the tying runners in scoring position, A.J. Vidlund pinch hit for designated hitter Todd Atkinson, but after fouling off a number of pitches he finally went down via strike out to end the game.
    The loss dropped Fair Oaks' record to 1-2 on the year.
