POST 383 CONGRATULATES
OAKS - (From Carroll A. Rice, Jr., 2nd Vice-Commander, Fair
Oaks American Legion Post 383) - Please convey the congratulations
of the Fair Oaks American Legion Post 383 membership to the 'OAKS' team
and management for their stellar performance and sportsmanship during
the current Legion Baseball season! We are proud of the team and its
management. You exemplify all that American Legion Baseball was meant
to be.
OAKS LOSE TITLE -
Fair Oaks lost two extra-inning games Thursday night as Yolo Post 77
was crowned the new District 6 Champion at Renfree Field. The Oaks had
won the title over Yolo the past two years. Fair Oaks lost the first
game in 12 innings by a score of 5-4. In the second game, the Oaks
wasted an eighth inning comeback - going from an 8-6 deficit to a 9-8
lead - before falling in 10 innings, 11-10. Yolo will now advance to
the Area 1 Playoffs in Red Bluff on July 23.
