Fair Oaks 15, Charles Eggen 4 (League: 5-0, Overall: 5-0) - June 13 @ El Camino High - Fair Oaks improved its league-best record to 5-0 and remained the only District 6 team that was undefeated with a 15-4 victory over Charles Eggen at El Camino High School.
As has been the case in all five of their games to date this season, the Oaks fell behind in the early innings, giving up a 1-0 lead to Eggen in the first inning.  Fair Oaks came back to tie it up though in the top of the second with a one-out solo home run over the fence and into the trees in left field by designated hitter Andrew Leduc.
Charles Eggen went back in front in the bottom of the inning, however, as two runs scored on a double and base hit. The next batter flew to left field, but the throw in went out of play allowing the runs in to make it a 3-1 game.
That was the last time Eggen saw the lead, however. The Oaks came back in the top of the third with five runs to take a 6-3 lead and an advantage they'd never give up.
Second baseman Kyle Richardson led off the inning with a walk and then first baseman Mickey Weisser was hit by a pitch. Shortstop Steve Rinaudo's hit to deep short loaded the bases and then catcher Austin Morgan singled home Richardson to make it a 3-2 game. A fly ball to left by third baseman Jason Lomascola brought home Weisser to tie the game and then with two out, right fielder Trevor Lewis doubled to left center to score Rinaudo and Morgan and give the Oaks a 5-3 lead. Left fielder Chris Dennison followed with another double to score Lewis and make it a 6-3 Oaks lead.
Charles Eggen came back with a lone run in the bottom of the third to bring the score to 6-4 and the Oaks found themselves facing a new Eggen pitcher in the top of the fourth. It took

a few innings, but the new hurler proved to be no match for Post 383 either, as Fair Oaks loaded the bases in the sixth and went on to score three more runs for a 9-4 lead.
With one out, Richardson got a hit to left, followed by a Weisser hit to right. Rinaudo then got hit by a pitch to load the bases and set up the Oaks' first score of the inning. Morgan popped the ball into center and it dropped in allowing Richardson to score. Nikolai Rowe then saw his first at bat in an Oaks uniform as he took the count to 3-2 before grounding a ball to second that allowed Weisser to score. Then, with Leduc at the plate, a wild pitch brought Rinaudo home and the Oaks owned a 9-4 lead.
Five more runs came across in the seventh inning as Lewis led off by getting hit by a pitch. Dennison followed with a bunt back to the pitcher, but the throw to  shortstop covering second pulled the shortstop's foot off the bag and everyone was safe. Center fielder Ryan Stevens followed with a ball to short. The throw to second went wide, however, and Lewis scored to make it a 10-4 game. Dennison went to third on the play, with Stevens taking second.  Richardson followed with a hit to left to score Dennison to make it 11-4 and then a three-run home run to right center by Weisser scored Stevens, Richardson and Weisser to bring the score to 14-4.
The Oaks scored their final run of the game in the eighth off the third Charles Eggen pitcher of the day. After the first two batters recorded outs, Stevens hammered a ball over the right field fence to make it a 15-4 Oaks lead.
Oaks starting pitcher Brian Garber handled Eggen easily over the eighth and ninth innings to record the complete-game victory.
