Fair Oaks 13, West Sacramento 0 (League: 7-0, Overall: 7-0) - June 18 @ River City High School - Fair Oaks jumped on West Sacramento quickly in the opening of their doubleheader at River City High School, scoring three runs in the first and another three in the second en route to a 13-0 victory.
Center fielder Ryan Stevens led off the first inning with a ground ball to short. The throw to first was high, however, and Stevens was safe. With second baseman Kyle Richardson at the plate, Stevens stole second. Richardson walked and then first baseman Mickey Weisser got a hit to center field to load the bases.
Designated hitter Steve Rinaudo then hit a ball to short. The throw came home to get Stevens, but Rinaudo was safe at first to keep the bases full. Catcher Austin Morgan drove in the first run as he got a hit to left to bring Richardson in. The next batter, third baseman Jason Lomascola, then hit a ball back to the pitcher. The throw came home, but got away from the catcher and both Weisser and Rinaudo scored to make it a 3-0 game.
Pitcher Robert Butler struck out two of the four batters he faced in the bottom of the first, allowing only one base runner as he hit the second batter of the inning. The Oaks came back in the top of the second for three more runs as shortstop Chris Dennison led off with a hit to left field and Stevens followed with a hit to right field.
Richardson was the next batter and he hit a ground ball to first. The throw went to second, but was too late to get Stevens and the bases were loaded for the second inning in a row.
Weisser then got a hit up the middle to score Dennison and Stevens to make it 5-0.  Rinaudo followed with a hit to left to reload the bases and then Morgan's fly to left field allowed Richardson to tag and come home to make it a 6-0 lead for the Oaks.
West Sacramento held off the Oaks until the top of the seventh when Post 383 scored five more runs for an 11-0 lead.
Morgan was hit by a pitch to lead off the inning and then Lomascola hit a ball to third . The throw went to second, but got away and Morgan took third on the play. With one out, right fielder Trevor Lewis got a hit to left field to score Morgan and Dennison followed with a hit to center to score Lomascola. Stevens, the next batter then powered a double into left center to score Lewis and Dennison. The final run of the inning scored after two were out as a wild pitch with Weisser at the plate allowed Stevens to come in and make it an 11-0 game.
The Oaks scored their final two runs in the eighth inning as Rinaudo led off with a double to left and Morgan followed with a double - also to left - to score Rinaudo and make it 12-0. Then with two outs, Lewis hit a ball to third. The ball was knocked down, but no throw was made and Lewis was safe with Morgan scoring for the final 13-0 tally.
Butler put West Sacramento down in order in the bottom of the eighth and Robert Beard took over in the ninth to close the game out. Beard struck out the first two batters he faced before allowing a single to right, but then got the next batter to pop up to second to end the game and give the Oaks the 13-0 win.
