Kyle Richardson sends a ground ball hit into right field in the fifth inning of the Oaks game against West Sacramento. The hit drove in teammate Trevor Lewis with the Oaks' 10th run of the game.

Fair Oaks 10, West Sacramento 4 (League: 5-1, Overall: 9-1-1) - June 7 @ Bella Vista - Fair Oaks jumped into first place in District 6 with a 10-4 victory over West Sacramento at Bella Vista High School.
The Oaks staked starting pitcher Trevor Lewis to a 3-0 lead in the first as second baseman Greg Polanski started things off with a one out hit to right field. Third baseman Abel Alcantar followed with another hit to right and then first baseman Mike Sanchez drove in Polanski with a hit - also to right field.
Catcher Bret Gibson grounded out to first, but advanced both remaining base runners as Alcantar took third and Sanchez went into second. Left fielder Justin Wilson then drove in both runners with a hit to right to make it a 3-0 game.
Lewis gave up a one out double in the second, but then struck out the next two batters to shut West Sacramento out for the second straight inning and the Oaks went back to work in the bottom of the inning with three more runs to make it  a 6-0 game.
Lewis was hit by a pitch to start the inning and then moved to third on a double to left center by shortstop Chris Dennison. A fly ball to right by right fielder Robert Butler allowed Lewis to score to make it 4-0, although the Oaks pitcher was nearly out at third early on in the play. Lewis started home on the shallow hit and then stopped - with Dennison coming full bore into third behind him. When Lewis stopped, Dennison had to retreat to second, but then Lewis went home as the throw went back to second and West Sacramento wound up not getting either runner and the Oaks owned a 4-0 lead. Center fielder Kyler Richardson followed with a bunt hit to third and then Polanski was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Dennison and Richardson scored on a Alcantar hit to left to make it a 6-0 game.
West Sacramento managed a lone run in the fourth, but the Oaks extended their lead in the bottom of the inning with another run as Butler drew a one out walk to start things off. With Richardson at the plate, Butler stole second. Richardson then tripled to left to make it a 7-1 game as Butler easily crossed the plate for the run.
Chris Johnson replaced Lewis on the mound in the fifth and in the bottom of the fifth, the Oaks broke the game open with three more runs for a 10-1 lead.
With one out, Gibson got a hit to center and Johnson followed with a hit to right. Lewis then hit a ball to short that was booted and Gibson scored to make it 8-1. Dennison then sent a fly to center that allowed Johnson to tag and score from third and after a walk to Butler, Richardson got a ground ball hit through the infield and into right to score Lewis and make it a 10-1 game.
West Sacramento added a pair of runs in the top of the sixth to bring the score to 10-3 and a solo home run in the seventh off the Oaks' third pitcher of the game John Constance to make it 10-4.
Neither team did much the rest of the way and the Oaks' Mark Lincoln wrapped up the game in the ninth allowing only a one out walk which was erased on a double play to end the inning.
