Chris Johnson leads off first base after a fourth inning walk that loaded the bases in the Oaks 11-0 win over Sandpoint, Idaho in Fairfield on Friday.

Fair Oaks 11, Sandpoint, Idaho 0 (League: 11-3, Overall: 16-5-1) - June 30 @ Laurel Creek Park, Fairfield - Fair Oaks' bats finally came alive as the Oaks downed Sandpoint, Idaho by a score of 11-0 in five innings.
    The Oaks, who had only scored three runs total in their first two tournament games, again got off to a slow start in the opening innings, but exploded for seven runs in the third and never looked back.
Shortstop Chris Dennison and center fielder Steve Rinaudo led off the inning with back-to-back walks and then third baseman Greg Polanski put down a perfect bunt to move the runners over and beat the throw from the pitcher to land afely on first and load the bases with no outs.
    Second baseman Kyle Richardson walked to force in Dennison with the first run and then with one out, designated hitter Bret Gibson got a hit to center to score Rinaudo and make it a 2-0 game. With two out, right fielder Trevor Lewis wit a ball to short. The throw went to third, but the fielder threw it away and in the dirst and Polanski and Richardson scored to make it 4-0.
    Left fielder Chris Johnson then got a hit to left that went for a double and scored Gibson and Lewis for a 6-0 lead. The Oaks' final run of the inning came on a hit to center by Dennison that scored Johnson and gave the Oaks a 7-0 advantage.
    Dennison's hit drove Sandpoint's starting pitcher Josh Gatchell from the game in favor of Vinny D'Orazi, who got the last out of the inning.
    The Oaks' Keith Jennette put Sandpoint down in order in the bottom of the third and the Oaks came back for another three runs in the top of the fourth on a massive home run to center field by first baseman Andrew LeDuc. Polanski walked to lead off the inning and Richardson followed with a ground ball to first. The throw went to second for an error and both runners were safe, setting up LeDuc's home run shot deep over the center field fence.
    The Oaks loaded the bases after LeDuc's home run with one out as Gibson got on via error and Lewis and Johnson walked, but Sandpoint wriggled out of the inning with no further damage.
    Mark Lincoln took the mound in the fourth for the Oaks and sent Sandpoint down in order and the Oaks came back in the top of the fifth to score their final run.
    Polanski hit a ball to short that resulted in a bad throw to first for an error and then Richardson doubled to right center to score Polanski to make it an 11-0 game.
    Sandpoint managed to load the bases in the bottom of the fifth after two were out on an error and back-to-back walks, but Lincoln struck out the final batter to end the game after five innings due to the tournament's 10-Run Rule.
