Steve Rinaudo dives back into first base on a pickoff play after getting on base with a hit to left field in the fifth inning of the Oaks 6-1 win.

Fair Oaks 6, B&L 1 (League: 11-3, Overall: 18-6-1) - July 4 @ Laurel Creek Park, Fairfield - After losing to B&L Properties of Fairfield earlier in the tournament, 6-3, Fair Oaks came back for a 6-1 victory over B&L to claim third place in the WABF Tournament at Laurel Creek Park on Tuesday.
The Oaks staked starting pitcher Andrew LeDuc to a 1-0 lead in the second inning as right fielder Trevor Lewis hit a one out homer over the left center field fence for the Oaks' first run.
The Oaks added another two runs in the third as center fielder Steve Rinaudo led off the inning with a solo home run over the right field fence. First baseman Mark Sanchez followed with a double to right and then left fielder Chris Johnson hit a ball to first that was bobbled and he reached base safely to load the bases. Catcher Bret Gibson then sent a fly ball to right field that allowed Sanchez to tag and score to make it a 3-0 game.
LeDuc was replaced on the mound by Brian Garber to start the bottom of the third and held B&L scoreless over the next two innings. Fair Oaks came back in the fifth for another run as Rinaudo led off with a hit to left. With one out and Johnson at the plate, a wild pitch moved Rinaudo to second. He scored as the next batter - Gibson - doubled down the left field line making it a 4-0 game.
John Constance took the mound for the Oaks in the bottom of the fifth and sent B&L down in order and the Oaks came back to score another run in the top of the sixth.
With one out, shortstop Keith Jennette got a hit to right field. He was erased after second baseman Kyle Richardson hit a ball to short. The throw went to second, but the relay to first got away and Richardson went all the way to second on the play. With designated hitter Robert Butler at the plate, a wild pitch moved Richardson to third. Butler then doubled to right field to score Richardson for a 5-0 lead.
B&L finally got on the scoreboard in the bottom of the sixth after an error on a ground ball to third resulted in a runner on second with no outs. A hit up the middle scored the B&L run to make the score 5-1.
The Oaks added their final run of the game in the top of the seventh as Greg Polanski led off with a hit to left field. Gibson followed with a hit to right that sent Polanski all the way to third and set up one of the Oaks' favorite plays. Gibson got picked off first drawing the throw and while Gibson was in the rundown between bases, Polanski took off for home and scored to make it 6-1.
Mark Lincoln came in to pitch the bottom of the seventh for Fair Oaks and despite walking the first two batters he faced, Lincoln got the next three batters on easy outs to end the game and give the Oaks the third place trophy.
Robert Butler, Steve Rinaudo and Keith Jennette were named to the all-tournament team for Fair Oaks.
