Oaks manager Jerry Crews (23) talks strategy with his players during the 11th inning of Fair Oaks game against Folsom on Thursday.

Fair Oaks 4, Folsom 3 (League: 15-3, Overall: 23-6-1) - July 13 @ Sacramento City College - After giving Fair Oaks fits in its final series of the regular season, the Folsom Flames continued the trend in the District 6 Playoffs as the Oaks needed 12 innings to defeat Folsom 4-3.
Folsom made it a 1-0 game in the second inning, due largely to a two-out error. After starting pitcher Robert Butler struck out the first two batters he faced, a fly ball to left field by Folsom's Russ Compton was dropped to keep the inning alive. A walk to A.J. Perry and base hit by Chase Davis loaded the bases and then Butler hit Folsom second baseman Matt Black to force in a run to give the Flames a 1-0 lead.
Folsom added a run in the sixth, but then the Oaks came back in the bottom of the inning to tie the game at 2-2.
With one out, second baseman Keith Jennette got a hit to left field and then moved to third on center fielder Kyle Richardson's double to left center. With two outs, designated hitter Abel Alcantar got a hit to left center to score both Jennette and Richardson and make it a 2-2 game.
The game remained tied through the end of nine innings, although both teams had chances to bring runners home and take a lead. In the top of the 11th, another error contributed to a 3-2 Folsom advantage as a high throw to first on a ground ball to third by Alex Dominguez gave the Flames a base runner. Bryan Dyer's sacrifice bunt moved the runner to second and after an intentional walk to Compton, a hit by Perry to right field scored the run to make it 3-2.
The Oaks faced a new pitcher in the bottom of the 11th as Derek Lewis took over for starter Luke Mazzanti. It was a good move for Post 383 as Richardson led off the inning with a triple to right field. First baseman Andrew LeDuc followed with a hit to center to score Richardson to tie the game at 3-3. An intentional walk to Alcantar and a two-out walk to catcher Jesse Olson loaded the bases, but the Oaks couldn't bring the winning run home.
Brian Garber who relieved Butler in the top of the 10th sent Folsom down in order in the top of the 12th and the Oaks came back with a run in the bottom of the inning to put the game away.
Right fielder Steve Rinaudo led off with a hit to center that got away from the Flames' center fielder, landing Rinaudo on second base with no outs. Jennette bunted Rinaudo to third and then Folsom chose to give back-to-back intentional walks to Richardson and LeDuc to load the bases. The gamble didn't pay off for the Flames, however, as the next batter, Alcantar, lined a sharply hit single down the third base line to score Rinaudo and give the Oaks the 4-3 victory in 12 innings.
