Trevor Lewis dives back into first base on a Sacramento pickoff try during the sixth inning of the Oaks game against Post 391. Lewis reached base on a walk and later scored to give the Oaks a 5-0 lead.

Fair Oaks 6, Sacramento 0 (League: 2-1, Overall: 6-1-1) - June 3 @ William Land Park - Fair Oaks improved its District 6 record to 2-1 with a 6-0 victory over Sacramento in the first game of a doubleheader at William Land Park.
The Oaks took a 3-0 lead in the opening inning as center fielder Kyle Richardson led off with a walk. Shortstop Keith Jennette followed with a bunt for a hit and then with designated hitter Tyler Robertson at the plate, a wild pitch advanced both runners. Robertson walked to load the bases and then first baseman Andrew LeDuc's hit to center scored Richardson and Jennette to make it a 2-0 game. Right fielder Trevor Lewis followed with a hit to right to reload the bases and then a ground out by catcher Jesse Olson scored Robertson to give the Oaks a 3-0 lead.
Fair Oaks added another run in the third as Robertson got a one out double to center field. He scored on a LeDuc hit up the middle to make it a 4-0 game.
Oaks starting pitcher Robert Butler retired Sacramento batters in order through the first five innings, including striking out the side in the fifth. Fair Oaks added another run in the top of the sixth to make it a 5-0 game.
Lewis led off with a walk and with Olson at the plate moved to second on an errant pickoff play. Olson flew out to left, but then with third baseman Justin Wilson at the plate, a passed ball sent Lewis to third. Wilson struck out, but the next batter - second baeman Greg Polanski - sent a single into center field to score Lewis and make it 5-0.
Butler continued his shutout through seven innings before giving way to John Constance in the eighth. Sacramento didn't have any better luck with Constance, going out in order in the eighth. Fair Oaks scored its final run in the top of the ninth as Jennette was hit by a pitch with one out. Robertson flew out to left and then LeDuc got another hit to left to score Jennette, who had advanced to second on an earlier wild pitch.
Sacramento managed a pair of hits and a walk in the bottom of the ninth, but couldn't push a run across as Constance and the Oaks defense preserved the shutout and 6-0 victory.
