Fair Oaks 10, Galt 2 (League: 4-1, Overall: 11-4) - June 16 @ Bella Vista High School - As they did in the first game of the doubleheader against Galt on Saturday, the Oaks scored six times in the first inning of the second game en route to a 10-2 win over the visitors at Bella Vista High School.
With one out in the first, center fielder Brian Stamps tripled to left center and then scored on first baseman Mike Sanchez's fly ball to center. Right fielder Abel Alcantar followed with a walk and moved to third on a hit just inside the first base line by designated hitter Josh Glaser. Left fielder Troy Spivey followed with a hit to center to score Alcantar to make it 2-0. Third baseman Cameron Barr was the next batter and hit a ball to third. The third baseman knocked it down, but couldn't make a play and Glaser scored for a 3-0 lead. With second baseman Greg Polanski at the plate, a wild pitch scored Spivey. Polanski was hit by a pitch and then a double to left center by catcher Ben Schwefel scored Barr and Polanski for a 6-0 lead.
The Oaks added another two runs in the bottom of the fourth as Polanski led off with a walk. Mark Lincoln, pinch hitting for Schwefel,  got a hit to left and then shortstop Keith Jennette walked to load the bases. With one out, Sanchez hit a ball to short with the throw going to second. The relay to first, however,  went wide and both Polanski and Lincoln scored to make it an 8-0 game.
Fair Oaks miscues and a two out hit led to Galt's first run of the game in the fifth inning, but the Oaks got two of their own in the bottom of the fifth to increase their lead to 10-1.
Glaser led off with a ball to second. A bad throw put him on and then he scored as Spivey followed with a double to right field. With one out, Polanski was the next batter. He grounded to second, but another Galt error allowed him to reach safely and Spivey scored for the 10-1 lead. Lincoln followed with a double, but Polanski didn't advance past third. Polanski then got caught in a rundown on a ground ball to third by Jennette for the second out and then a ground out ended the inning with no further runs scoring.
A two out walk and a pair of hits in the top of the seventh resulted in Galt's second run of the game to make it 10-2, but a pop out to first ended the inning and completed Fair Oaks' sweep of the doubleheader.
John Constance pitched a complete game for the Oaks with 13 strikeouts.
