Fair Oaks 4, West Sacramento 1 (League: 7-0, Overall: 19-2) - June 21 @ Bella Vista High School - Fair Oaks improved its league-leading record to 7-0 with a 4-1 victory over West Sacramento in the first game of a doubleheader at Bella Vista High School.
The Oaks made it a 3-0 game in the bottom of the sixth inning as  right fielder Jon Lang led off with a ground ball to third. The throw pulled the first baseman off the bag, however, and Lang was safe to give the Oaks a base runner with no outs. Lang moved to second on a ground ball to second by designated hitter Bret Gibson, and then with third baseman Andrew Gutierez at the plate, moved to third on a passed ball. Gutierez then got a hit to left center to drive in Lang and make it a 1-0 game. First baseman Taylor Sanders followed with a ball that was lined off the third baseman's glove for an error and then a double to center field by second baseman Josh Britt scored Gutierez for a 2-0 Oaks lead and moved Sanders to third. A groundout to short by shortstop Cameron Barr brought in Sanders to give the Oaks their 3-0 lead.
Post 383 added another run in the bottom of the seventh after two were out. Lang walked and then with Gibson at the plate stole second. Gibson doubled to right center and Lang scored to make it a 4-0 lead.
West Sacramento scored its only run of the game in the top of the eighth, capitilizing on a walk and a hit, followed by two groundouts to move the runner across the plate.
Robertson pitched a complete game for the Oaks, striking out seven and allowing only three hits en route to the victory.
