Fair Oaks 7, El Dorado 0 (League: 11-1, Overall: 27-8-1) - July 15 @ Tiger Field, Redding, Calif. - - Josh Paige pitched a complete game and held El Dorado to only three hits as Fair Oaks picked up a seven-inning, 10-0 win in the opening round of the Area 1 Playoffs in Redding.
The Oaks scored three runs on three hits and one El Dorado error in the first inning and never looked back, increasing their lead to 4-0 in the third as Paige held El Dorado to only one hit through the first three innings.
A three-run fifth made it a 7-0 game and then the Oaks invoked the tournament's 10-Run Rule with another trio of runs in the bottom of the seventh for the 10-0 victory.
The Oaks will play at 4 p.m. on Thursday against the Winner of the Napa vs. Oroville game which was scheduled for a 1 p.m. start today.
