Napa 4, Fair Oaks 0 (League: 0-0, Overall: 3-1) - May 25 @ William Land Park, Sacramento - Napa's C.J. Blom allowed only two hits as the River Dogs defeated Fair Oaks 4-0 in the championship game of the District 6 Memorial Day Tournament in William Land Park.

Blom had a no-hitter brewing until the fifth inning when Oaks third baseman Ryan Hall singled cleanly into center field after two were out. Fair Oaks only other hit of the day came in the sixth inning on a leadoff double by catcher Shawn Wheeler that glanced off the left fielder's glove.

Napa jumped on Oaks starter Josh Paige in the first inning as left fielder Andrew Pieper lined the first pitch into left field. He scored as center fielder Brandon Savin sent a triple into center to make it a 1-0 game. A sacrifice fly by shortstop Mike Santora to left allowed Savin to tag and score to give the River Dogs a 2-0 lead.

Fair Oaks only offense in the bottom of the first came on a one out walk to center fielder Ryan Dettman. He stole second with right fielder Jon Lang at the plate, but two outs followed and the Oaks went down without scoring.

Napa added its third run of the game in the top of the second as first baseman Rob Steen led off with a hit to right field. A wild pitch moved him to second and then a groundout to first advanced Steen to third. He tagged and scored on a Bud Accardo fly to center field to make it a 3-0 River Dogs lead.

The Oaks went out in order in the second, third and fourth innings. Napa scored its final run of the game in the top of the fifth off new Oaks pitcher Brian Kennedy.

Pieper hit a ball to short that took a bad hop allowing him to reach base safely. With one out, a base hit by Santora moved Pieper over and then he scored as catcher Alex Sasloff hit a ball on the infield. The play went to second for the force out of Santora, but Napa owned a 4-0 lead.

Hall got his hit to center in the bottom of the fifth to break up the no-hitter, followed by Wheeler's double in the sixth, but that would be all the offense the Oaks could muster on the day.

David Jones took the mound for the Oaks in the top of the seventh and despite giving up a two out walk and base hit, got out of the inning with no Napa runners scoring.

Fair Oaks only other base runner came in the seventh as shortstop Andrew Gutierrez was hit by a pitch with one out. Blom allowed only four Oaks batters on base while striking out nine in the game.
