The win completed a series sweep for the Oaks over West Sacramento as Post 383 won the first two games 10-0 and 7-1.

Fair Oaks wasted no time getting on the scoreboard as five runs came across the plate in the opening inning. Second baseman Dustin Vaught started things off with a walk and then scored on left fielder Alec Strain's double to left field. The throw came home in an attempt to get Vaught, but the ball got away from the catcher allowing Strain to advance to third. First baseman Shane Rae followed with another double to score Strain. Third baseman Ryan Hall got a hit and designated hitter Shawn Wheeler walked to load the bases with no outs. The Oaks third run on the inning scored as shortstop Kevin Lyman was hit by a pitch from West Sacramento hurler Brandon Erwin. This forced Rae in to make it 3-0. Catcher Mike Nantze followed with a walk to force in Hall for a 4-0 lead and then with two out and Vaught at the plate for the second time in the inning, a passed ball allowed Lyman to score to make it a 5-0 game.

West Sacramento sent a new pitcher to the mound to start the second as Max Jablonski took over for Erwin. But the Oaks came right back to score another four runs to take a 9-0 lead.

Strain started off with a hit to center and then Rae hit a ball to third. The throw went to second in an attempt to force Strain, but it sailed wide and both runners were safe. Hall walked to load the bases and then with Wheeler at the plate, a wild pitch scored Strain to make it 6-0. Wheeler grounded to short, with the throw going to first which allowed Rae to score. Lyman followed with a double down the third base line to score Hall and a hit by Nantze to center field scored Lyman to give the Oaks a nine run lead.
