    WOODLAND, Calif. (July 16, 2010) - Oroville ended Fair Oaks Post 383's season Friday afternoon as the Oaks were handed an 11-7 loss at Clark Field in Woodland. The Oaks finished 2010 with an 18-16-1 record. Go HERE for the game story.

OAKS ADVANCE WITH 14-6 WIN

    WOODLAND, Calif. (July 15, 2010) - Fair Oaks advanced in the Area 1 Playoffs today with a 14-6 win over the Eureka Falcons. The Falcons loss eliminated Eureka from the tournament. Fair Oaks will play tomorrow (Friday) at 1 p.m., a change from the original bracket that had them scheduled for a 4 p.m. game. Go HERE for the game story.

OAKS CAN'T HOLD LEAD, LOSE 11-6

    WOODLAND, Calif. (July 14, 2010) -  Fair Oaks lost its opening game of the 2010 Area 1 Playoffs to the Chico Nuts Wednesday by a score of 11-6. The Oaks trailed at one time 4-0, but mounted a comeback in the third and fourth innings to lead 5-4, eventually taking a 6-4 lead in the sixth. But Chico came back to tie the game in the bottom of the inning and then took the lead in the seventh en route to the opening round victory. Go HERE for the game story.

     The Oaks will now face the loser of the Eureka-El Dorado game on Thursday at 10 a.m. All games are at Clark Field in Woodland.

OAKS TO FACE CHICO AT AREA 1

    FAIR OAKS, Calif. (July 11, 2010) - The Chico Nuts won the District 4 title over Oroville Saturday night at Doryland Field in Chico to become Fair Oaks' opening opponent in the Area 1 Playoffs at Woodland's Clark Field on Wednesday, July 14.
    The game is scheduled for a 10 a.m. start. The winner will play on Thursday at 4 p.m., with the loser dropping into the lower bracket with another 10 a.m. start.
    The two teams met previously on June 4, battling to a 5-5 tie at Bella Vista before the game was called due to darkness.
