Legion baseball fans
have visited Fair Oaks Post 383 Baseball

SHELBY, North Carolina (Aug. 16, 2011) - Congratulations to Eden Prairie, Minnesota for winning the American Legion World Series Championship today in Shelby, North Carolina. Eden Prairie beat Tupelo, Mississippi for the title, 5-4, before 5,896 fans. The 2011 World Series broke a 79-year-old record with 86,162 fans attending 15 games.

ARCATA, Calif. (July 17, 2011) - The Chico Nuts claimed the Area 1 American Legion Championship today in Arcata. Chico had to play twice today to claim the crown, first defeating El Dorado 8-0 and then beating Petaluma 4-0. Chico now moves on to the State Championship which will be played at Borman Field in Yountville, July 23-27.

FAIR OAKS, Calif. (July 14, 2011) - We just received word that Fair Oaks lost to El Dorado by a score of 4-0 at the Area 1 Playoffs in Arcata, California. This ends the Oaks quest for the Area 1 title and a trip to the State Playoffs next week. Fair Oaks finished its season with a 25-10 overall record and won the 2011 District 6 Championship. It was a great season with some of the best players ever to wear a Post 383 uniform.

FAIR OAKS, Calif. (July 13, 2011) - We just got word that Fair Oaks lost its American Legion Area 1 opener to Petaluma by a score of 11-9. This means the Oaks will play tomorrow (Thursday) at 10 a.m. against El Dorado, an 18-14 loser to the No. Humboldt Giants.

LODI, Calif. (July 9, 2011) - Fair Oaks beat Folsom tonight (Saturday) 15-7 at Zupo Field in Lodi. Go HERE for the game story. The Oaks play Lodi for the championship tomorrow at 11 a.m. If Lodi wins, a 2nd game will be played at 3 p.m. Lodi eliminated Yolo in the 3 p.m. game on Saturday by a score of 9-5.

OAKS WIN SLUGFEST OVER YOLO POST 77

LODI, Calif. (July 8, 2011) - Fair Oaks remained the only unbeaten team in the District 6 Playoffs with a 16-10 win over Yolo at Zupo Field in Lodi Friday night. Go HERE for the game story. The Oaks will play on Saturday at 7 p.m. against Folsom which was a 14-11 winner over West Sacramento earlier in the day.

OAKS OPEN 2011 DISTRICT PLAYOFFS WITH WIN

LODI, Calif. (July 7, 2011) - Fair Oaks opened the 2011 District 6 Playoffs with a win tonight, beating West Sacramento by a score of 15-4. The game only went seven innings due to the tournament's 10-Run Rule.
